Academics
br>Academics
Since 1945 Rockway has maintained an excellent reputation as a quality private school in Kitchener and Waterloo. Our excellent academic program is well-regarded by universities and colleges. Each year the majority of our graduates are accepted into their first choice of university and college programs! Our teachers are certified professionals who bring a passion for their subject areas and a love for young people. Our school community is safe and supportive providing many opportunities for students and broadening their world in many ways.
Rockway is a small high school (about 300 students in grades 6-12) with a big vision! Our goal is to help build a strong English language foundation for International Students through ESL courses at four levels (ESLB, ESLC, ESLD and ESLE). Teachers are always available for extra support, and can assist students with finding tutors if necessary. Further we seek to integrate our International Students into regular stream academic classes with Canadian students as soon as they are able.
We work hard to support International Students in their pursuit of university entrance by integrating them within our school community and in providing them with many supports to help them adapt to life in Canada!
